Join our Virtual Power Plant
How to join our Virtual Power Plant
To connect your battery to our Virtual Power Plant (VPP), you’ll first need to locate your battery system details.
Select your battery brand below to see where to find the required information. Once you have the details, you can connect your battery through the GloBird App.
Step 1: Find your battery details
Alpha
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
- Check Code (only available on the Alpha inverter)
You can find these in the following ways.
Option 1 - In the Alpha App

Open the Alpha App

On the Home screen, locate Serial Number (SN) at the top of the screen
Option 2 - On the Alpha inverter

Check the nameplate on the right-hand side of the inverter

Locate the Serial Number (starts with “AL”)

The Check Code appears under the Serial Number
Anker
You will need
- System ID
- Verification Code
You can find these in the Anker mobile App.

Open the Anker App, tap 'Settings'.

Tap Virtual Power Plant.

Find System ID and generate Verification Code, agree and continue.

Copy and paste System ID and Verification Code to GloBird app.
Ecactus
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
You can find these in the following ways.
Option 1 - In the ECOS App

Open the ECOS App, on the Home page, your Serial Number appears in the top-left corner (Starts with 'SHA')
Option 2 – On the inverter

Check the nameplate on the front of the device

Locate the Serial Number (Starts with 'SHA')
Neovolt
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
- Check code (only available on the Neovolt inverter)
You can find these in the following ways.
Option 1 – In the Neovolt App

Open the Neovolt App

On the Home page, your Serial Number (SN) appears at the top
Option 2 – On the inverter

Check the nameplate on the side of the inverter, locate the Serial Number and Check Code
Redback
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
You can find this in the Redback portal, Redback App or on the Redback invertor.
Option 1 – In the Redback portal

Open the Redback portal

On the Home page, click Details, Inverter Number will be displayed
Option 2 – In the Redback App

Open the Redback App, Tap System, locate the Serial Number
Option 3 – On the inverter

Check the nameplate on the left-hand side of the inverter, find the Serial Number (S/N) starts with “RB”
SAJ
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
You can find this in the following ways.
Option 1 – In the SAJ App

Open the SAJ App, Tap Device in the bottom menu

Your SN number will appear at the top (18-character alphanumeric code starts with H)
Option 2 – On the inverter

Check the nameplate on the side of the inverter, locate the Serial Number (S/N)
Sigenergy
You will need
- System ID
How to find it in the MySigen App

1. Open the MySigen App, tap System Settings under 'My Home'

Select About under General
-
System ID will appear under Basic Info
SolaX
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
You can find this in the following ways.
Option 1 – In the SolaXCloud App

Open the SolaXCloud App, go to the Device page. The Inverter Serial Number appears on the right side

Tap the device for Inverter Serial Number
Option 2 – On the inverter

Check the label on the side of the inverter

Locate the Serial Number
Solis+Dyness
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
You can find this in the following ways.
Option 1 – In the SolisCloud App

Open the SolisCloud App, on the Home screen, select your Plant and tap Device on the top banner

Your Inverter Serial Number will be displayed
Option 2 – On the inverter

Check the nameplate on the side of the inverter

Locate the Serial Number (Total length 14. Two formats: H + 13 digits or 10M0A + 9 alphanumeric code)
Sungrow
You will need
- Inverter Serial Number
You can find this in the following ways.
Option 1 – In the Sungrow App

Open the Sungrow App, tap the Settings icon on the Home page

Tap Device
-
Your Serial Number (S/N) number will appear under Energy Storage System (Starts with “A”, total length 11)
Important
To complete the VPP connection, your NMI must be entered in the Sungrow App.
Please ensure your NMI (first 10 digits) is correctly entered.

Copy NMI details

4. Tap the Edit icon, enter the NMI details
Step 2: Bind your battery
Once you have located your battery details:

Open the GloBird App, tap the product icon on the bottom menu

Select battery brand and enter battery details, follow the prompts to bind your battery
Why join our Virtual Power Plant (VPP)?
Joining our Virtual Power Plant is an optional feature available with our ZEROHERO battery energy plan. By opting in, you allow GloBird to intelligently manage your battery, charging and discharging it at optimal times to take advantage of high wholesale prices. It’s a simple way to earn extra income from your battery.
Compatible battery brands
The standard ZEROHERO plan works with any battery brand and includes these core features:
- 3 hours of free daily grid charging
- $1/day credit for avoiding grid usage between 6pm-8pm local time
- 15c/kWh feed-in tariff for battery exports up to 10kWh/day between 6pm-8pm local time
The optional Virtual Power Plant feature adds an extra income stream — and is currently compatible with the following battery brands:
