Just keep your grid usage below 0.03 kW per hour during the timeframe stated in your energy plan, and we’ll credit your account. This daily credit goes a long way toward wiping out your daily supply charge, helping you achieve a zero-dollar bill or consistent account credit.

How do I switch to GloBird?

Click the sign-up button above and complete the form in under 5 minutes. We’ll handle the switch from your current energy retailer within 2–3 business days and notify you via SMS once the transfer is complete.

Will I be locked into a contract?

No. ZEROHERO is a no-lock-in agreement, meaning you are free to change plans or providers at any time.

What are the free power and evening peak periods?

In most zones the times are:

• Free Power Period = 12:00PM-3:00PM
• Evening Peak = 6PM – 9PM

Are you required to join a Virtual Power Plant (VPP)?

. If you choose to join, you will receive $1 per kWh when there is a spike in wholesale pricing by entering your inverter serial number at sign-up.

Note: You will need to select a checkbox to consent to joining the VPP when you sign up, but we will not connect you unless you include your inverter serial number. We collect this consent upfront just in case you decide to join later.

How do I do I get my battery to charge or discharge from the grid?

If you join our VPP: We will automatically schedule your battery to charge from the grid. You can then opt in to discharge your battery in the evenings using the GloBird app. (Note: Our VPP is currently compatible with select battery brands. See full list here).

If you don\’t join our VPP: You can manage your battery scheduling directly through your battery manufacturer's app. We have step-by-step instructions for popular brands at the bottom of this page, or you can contact your installer for guidance.
