When should my client sign up to ZEROHERO?
Your client can sign up to ZEROHERO at any time before or after their battery installation. Just bear in mind that when they switch to ZEROHERO before their battery installation, the only features that they will receive will be the 3 hours free power feature, and the 15c feed in tariff if they have existing solar panels installed. The other features will become available only after battery installation.
We’ll send them an SMS and email once their account transfer has been completed. GloBird Energy will contact your client’s current energy provider directly to facilitate this, and we should have them switched over within 48 hours of signing up.
Are there any sign-up fees, exit fees, or lock in contracts?
With ZEROHERO, your client will transfer to GloBird for free and have the flexibility of changing plans or providers at any time.

What electricity pricing will my customer receive on this plan?
If your client makes full use of the ZEROHERO features, they can offset most of the daily supply charge with the $1 credit and minimise usage costs by consistently charging their battery during the three-hour free power window. In practice, this means that pricing becomes a secondary factor, as the plan’s benefits are designed to cover much of their everyday energy use. To confirm the exact rates for their property, you simply need to complete the form at the top of this page, after which GloBird Energy will provide a personalised pricing quote directly to your client via email.
How do I set up battery charging/ discharging for my client?

Which battery brands are compatible with GloBird’s optional VPP feature?
Our basic ZEROHERO plan works with any battery brand and includes 3 hours of free daily grid charging, a $1/day credit, and a 15c/kWh feed-in tariff.
The optional VPP feature, which allows GloBird to optimise your client’s battery and provides $1/kWh for discharges (or 5c/kWh for charges) during wholesale price spikes, is supported only by specific battery brands.

How will my client apply for the NSW or SA VPP rebate?
If your customer has a battery brand that GloBird can connect to, then they can apply for the VPP rebate if they are located in NSW or SA. We will ask them if they intend to apply for this rebate when they sign up to GloBird, and put them in contact with Mac Trade Services who will assist them with their application directly. Your customer will be paid out directly to their bank account.

To earn $1 per day credit, does my client really need zero grid usage?
During this two-hour period, GloBird Energy allows customers to draw up to 0.03kWh per hour from the grid and still receive the $1 per day credit. This is to allow for a small amount of power draw from the inverter. As long as they use below this amount, they will receive their credit for that day. A failure to earn the $1 credit on a particular day does not affect their ability to earn credits on future days.
