With ZEROHERO, you choose how much control your power company has over your system. Prefer to keep full control? No worries, you can maintain your energy independence and still enjoy most of ZEROHERO’s great benefits and features.

That said, if you choose to allow GloBird Energy remote access, you can unlock even greater value. By participating in our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) program, you’ll earn extra credits whenever GloBird remotely charge or discharge your battery, helping you boost your earnings and speed up your return on investment. It’s completely optional and entirely up to you.

There are no sign-up fees or ongoing fees. Additionally, there are no lock in contracts – which means that you can change plans or providers at any time.

During the two-hour period, GloBird Energy allows customers to draw up to 0.03kWh per hour from the grid. This is to allow for a small amount of power draw from the inverter during this time.

No, the 15c/kWh super export rate replaces the standard feed in tariff on the ZeroHero plan. In other words, when you are eligible for the super export rate, you will automatically receive the 15c/kWh feed in tariff instead of your standard feed in tariff.

Key eligibility criteria are summarised below

• Your premises must be located in NSW, QLD (Energex Region only), SA or VIC.
• You must be a residential customer.
• You must not sign up an account with an ABN.
• The network tariff applicable to you or the premises must be classified as residential.
• No one at the premises requires life support equipment.
• The premises has an eligible solar-battery system installed.

Your solar battery installer will send you a personalised email with a link to GloBird Energy’s ZeroHero sign up form. Please click the link via that email to complete your sign up online. Once you’ve set up your account we’ll take care of the rest - which means that we’ll contact your current provider for you to complete the transfer. Your old provider will send you one final bill, then the future bills will come from us on the ZeroHero plan. We’ll let you know via SMS and email once the transfer to GloBird Energy is complete.

With a smart meter, your transfer to GloBird Energy will take about 1 week. We’ll send you an SMS and email once your account transfer has been completed. GloBird Energy will contact your current energy provider to facilitate this – so all you need to do is to sign up via the email provided by your battery installer, and we’ll take care of the rest.
